Beta 80 Group visits the Silicon Valley and its 9-1-1 system

During last week, a group of Beta 80 professionals toured 9-1-1 PSAPs in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Together with Curtis Darnell, retired Chief  Dispatcher of Santa Clara County Communications, they visited the communication centers for Santa Clara, San Jose, Santa Clara County, San Mateo, Contra Costa County and the Emergency Operation Center of Santa Clara County.

The idea behind the tour was to be immersed on the daily routine of the 9-1-1 PSAPs while acquiring a wider and deeper view about their processes and their needs. The work done has been enlightening for all the members involved and means a big contribution for Beta 80 in order to get its 9-1-1 CAD offering ready for the American Public Safety arena.
