Beta 80 attends EENA European Parliament MEP event for Public Safety

BRUSSELS, Oct. 19 – Beta 80 was part of a significant workshop – organized by the European Emergency Number Association – to discuss our industry’s crucial issues and share experiences, best practices and ideas. Mr. Luca Bergonzi – our EMEA Sales Executive – along with 100 other EENA members, joined a conversation covering 12 key emergency topic which produced technical, operational and legal requirements documents (read them HERE). Beta 80 was very proud to be part of the event and to actively contribute to this important conversation; we will bring many of the ideas and insights in the development our software solutions.

Meeting the Members of European Parliament

Beta 80, along with the other participants, also met with political representatives of the European Parliament. The MEPs had informal discussions with the group and listened to all concerns, proposals and information. The event was an opportunity to bring the workshop’s results straight to EU representatives and public authorities and submit the recommendations. Antonio Tajani, president of the European Parliament also attended the event and listened to the proposals of the EENA members.

The three-day event was a great chance to improve our Public Safety solutions and to #makeEUsafe for all citizen. At Beta 80 we believe the greatest asset is the ability to create a network of positive connections from which to learn and grow. To meet, discuss and connect to professionals form all segments of this market is at the key to innovation and to a harmonic, healthy and safe system.

Tribute in honour of terrorism victims & in support of emergency services

This year the event was ever more significant as it featured a tribute to honour terrorism victims and support all emergency service professionals. Emergency services joined victims & survivors, top-level officials from the EU and Member States, as well as citizens in a moving ceremony that paid tribute to victims of terrorism, and to the work of European rescuers
