Beta 80 at the Italian SIS 118 Convention!

At the three day EMS event Beta 80 showcased its newest products and innovations

ROME, Italy – Sept 27-30, 2017.  Beta 80 was a proud sponsor and exhibitor at the SIS 118 Conference 2017; the biggest event for emergency medical services professionals in Italy. The mission of the three day event was to discuss the latest innovations in medical response and treatment technology, both in the PSAP and on field.  The Conference was an exciting opportunity to unveil Beta 80’s latest software, including the new emma platforms for 118 112 and Civil Defense and to gather feedback from the many industry leaders and professionals who came to visit the stand.

OUR BOOTH: A REAL PSAP WORKSTATION

The response from visitors was incredible; this year our stand set up included a complete PSAP workstation where anyone could try our new emma CAD software and interact with the monitors of the Video Wall through Wey Tec’s smart keyboard.  The stand also included The Tavolo®  software, installed in the elegant NEC technology table.

Beta 80 showcased emma CAD System; a complete solution for Call Taking, Dispatching, Mapping, Mobile Apps, and Reporting for 118 |112 agencies as well as civil defense, fire departments and public safety. emma also includes emma Care  modules to facilitate the planning and transport activities for non urgent patients, covering all the Medical Services needs.

TALKING ABOUT THE FUTURE OF EMS TECHNOLOGY

Francesco Silanos, regional director for Italy gave a speech on “Innovation as a mean to improve citizens’ safety” where he highlighted the importance of a constant research and development in the EMS technologies both inside and outside of the PSAP. Mr. Silanos discussed the latest trends in mobile and hardware, but was also careful to point out:

“Innovation is nothing without the right integration; new releases, inventions and products need to be correctly tested and inserted in an organic PSAP network to create an effective communication. If we lack an integrated ecosystem where all these new technologies can cooperate we will not have a healty nor useful system”
